Dutch Kills Playground has reopened just in the knick of time for summer.
The $4.5 million project to renovate the popular playground is almost complete. The comfort station will be remade and is expected to be open this winter.
But in the meantime, kids in the community can enjoy the following new features: larger spray shower with water-saving controls, new adult fitness equipment, basketball and handball courts, accessible play equipment, lowered fences, plantings, canopy trees, additional gathering areas and shaded seating.
