More COVID-19 testing sites coming to LIC

With phase 2 of reopening underway, New York City is opening even more COVID-19 testing sites across the five boroughs.

Through a partnership with Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE), an emergency relief nonprofit co-founded by Sean Penn and Ann Lee, and SOMOS, the city is operating a testing site at Long Island City High School.

This will be a permanent testing site that will operate Monday to Saturdays from 10 a.m to 3 p.m.

A mobile testing unit will be placed at the Ravenswood Houses, at the rear of 35-36 21st Street, across from the Trade Fair supermarket.

This unit will be there on July 6 and 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Sites will be provided with both diagnostic and antibody tests.
